About Us

In 2007 Master Uechi formed the "Isshinryu Okinawa Traditional Karate-Do Association" (IOTKA), with Kyoshi Hovey as his North American representative. This site's purpose is to provide information about Master Uechi, Master Hovey, Isshinryu and Isshinryu Okinawa Traditional Karate-Do Association and it's members. Any North American karate-ka / organizations that would like to join the IOTKA should download the Membership Application and forward to Master Hovey. Any Isshinryu dojos outside North America should contact webmaster@IOTKA.com and contact information will be provided.

If you would like to be added to our mailing list contact webmaster@iotka.com and when updates are available you will be notified. We will be sending quarterly e-mails about updates to the site, news of Master Uechi's and Master Hovey's schedule plans.

Anyone that would like to contribute pictures and/or information pertaining to Master Uechi, Master Hovey or Isshinryu, please submit to webmaster@IOTKA.com and credit will be acknowledged. We are in the process of building the photo album and would gladly add pictures and / or stories about training with Master Uechi or Master Hovey.
